Site Plot Earth" as it is known today has not changed much in the centuries that it has been inhabited by humans. Days come and go - people do their jobs, raise their families, and live their lives in complete ignorance of their past. Sure, history has been kept since humans have been on "Earth", but they have no knowledge of the reason for their exile to this plane of reality. More, they are forbidden to have knowledge of the real world - known as Alpha, or the most prominent plane - or the creatures that dwell in it. Vampires. Weres. Fairies. Gremlins. Witches. These are the creatures of the humans' myths; or rather, the creatures that humans are to believe are myths. Just scary stories to frighten small children. In reality, there once was a time that these creatures and humans coexisted peacefully for many millenia. Tragically, true to human nature, they became greedy. The humans began to seek power of the world, causing many problems and wars. The other creatures banded together to break human attempt at tyranny, resulting in the largest war in even their history. In the end, the Elves - as a naturally regal, and powerful creature - stepped in to end things once and for all. The humans were exiled from the very existance of Alpha, and sent into a lesser plane of reality known as Omega. The humans began to call their known area of Omega "Earth" at a later date. The other creatures of Alpha were left to rebuild and live in relative peace once more. Over centuries, the humans lost belief in Alpha and it's residents. Their mundane existance seemed to them to be the only one. This, of course, was as planned by the Elves durring the period of cleansing in which the humans were all sent away. Humans have fickle minds and quickly lose faith in that which they do not see. A group of fairly young Elves was charged with the task of protecting the entrance to Alpha from humans, and keeping the secret of the creatures that inhabit it. This group was known as the Veritas Secundum Reproba - the "Truth Behind the Lies". They have taken on the names of Gods, and in early centuries were thought by many of the human tribes to be spritual and supreme beings. These Elves have not changed over the centuries in appearance or position, though over time the Elven race has become nearly extinct. The creatures had always been permitted to travel between the two planes freely given that they maintain a veil of secrecy, but the humans were strictly forbidden from having any knowledge of Alpha. However, there are a few stubborn humans that refuse to believe in their own heart that they are the only true race. These humans are widely known as psychics. Their talents varry on different degrees of power, but their common trait is that all have some sort of inherited knowledge of Alpha - even if they often mistake it for the "afterworld". Most of these humans are mocked by their fellow race. Coincidentally, some of the lesser creatures from the real world enjoy wrecking havoc in Omega. These things are often spoken of in human news as natural disasters. Needless to say, the Veritas Secundum Reproba must always be vigilant. While the citizens of the two realms live their wildest fantasies and every day lives within the laws of the elves.		Thread of the Week
